BREAKING NEWS Dubai, UAE Bangladesh's Hafidz was declared the overall winner in the just concluded 11th edition of the annual Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA). The 
DIHQA award ceremony held at Dubai Trade Center also saw Syrian scholar, Sheikh Mohammad Ali Al Sabooni (picture) awarded the Islamic Personality Award.
The top 10 winner:
1. Bangladesh (Dhs.250,000)
2. Yemen (Dhs.200,000)
3. Libya (Dhs.150,000)
4. Myanmar

Dubai, UAE Malam tadi wakil Malaysia, adik Abdul Salam Zulkifli mempamerkan bacaan cemerlang. Walaupun menghadapi sakit tekak, beliau terus menerus menjadi fokus penonton dan hakim. Tiga soalan hafalan berjaya d lalui dengan baik.
Abdul Salam yang berasal dari Terengganu merupakan juara kebangsaan seluruh Malaysia (hafalan) tahun ini. Beliau merupakan pelajar Maahad Tahfiz Padang Midin, Kuala Terengganu. Selain beliau, kakaknya juga adalah hafidz Al Quran.
Dubai, UAE Adik Abdul Salam Zulkifli, wakil negara ke Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) edisi
ke-11 akan memperdengarkan hafalannya malam ini. Beliau adalah peserta
ke-6 malam ini - majlis bermula selepas jam 9:30 malam.
Antara yang akan turut memperdengarkan hafalan malam ini ialah wakil dari Senegal, USA, Mauritania, Saudi, Sierra Leone dan Mozambique.
Antara favorite (berdasarkan, antaranya keupayaan bacaan dan tajweed) yang telah beraksi sebelum ini ialah wakil dari Taiwan dan Bangladesh.
Dubai, UAE Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) - 
the world's richest purse on offer for memorizing the Holy Quran is set to start tonite at DCCI Theater. The annual Ramadhan event will see 85 contestants who are aged 21 years and below, up from 74 (last year).
The event will start at 9:30pm tonite (UAE time).
DIHQA, which was first launched in 1979 offers Dhs.250,000 cash prize to the winner, while the second and third placed contestant will walk away with Dhs.200,000 and Dhs.150,000 respectively.
Fourth through 10th position is to receive Dhs.60,000 while the rest of the contestants will be awarded Dhs.20,000 each.

East and North Africa is set to launch special edition N73 phones come
this Ramadhan. The phones will be preloaded with Islamic applications
including du'aas, Islamic organizer with azan for the five daily
prayers, Qibla direction indicator and Hijri calendar.
This is the second special edition for the popular N73 model. After the launch of the original version, nokia launched the N73 music edition, targeting the youth segments. With more than 1 billion Muslims globally and more than 22 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region this could be a hit for Nokia.
Looks like Nokia is not only connecting people, but it is also trying to connect people with its Creator!
